Our supporters are outraged by human rights abuses but inspired by hope for a better world - so we work to improve human rights through campaigning and international solidarity. We register our Assocation under the Socity's Registration Act, 1860 and with that intention we have established The "Human Rights Assocation for Protection" on 07/07/2009 and we are working around the globe to stop the abuse of human rights.

Satish Shetty, a Right to Information activist and whistleblower, was hacked to death outside his home in Talegaon in January 2010. On October 15, 2009, Shetty had lodged a complaint of massive land grab against 14 people, including Virendra Mhaiskar, chairman and managing director of Mumbai-based Ideal Road Builders (IRB) Infrastructure Developers Limited.
